What flies in the skies of the Dream Nebula?

One of the biggest things people don’t seem to understand about Tales From the Dream Nebula (TFDN) is that it is not outer space. There’s no hard vacuum, stars or solar systems. Everything exists in a nearly boundless sky.
The shattered pieces of planet exist in layers of these breathable atmospheres. For navigation, humanity calls the bright, hot layers “up” versus the colder darker layers “down”. So going Up-Northwest is rising from cooler to hotter layers while traveling northwest. In between the layers are thermoclines which bubble and boil like a storm front. Occasionally they will mix with a “bust out”. Then big storms can form in a layer forming a natural flow between them.
